Architecture connected to the Salone
The Salone del Mobile involves all the insiders, but it is above all the event of trends, lifestyles, new products, that “something” that will conquer the consumer. But insiders are also interested in everything that "lies behind" the final product, namely materials and innovative ideas, at the center of architectural and interior design projects. This is why there is great anticipation for space&interiors, the event connected to the Salone del Mobile.Milano (12-17 April 2016). This is an important and unprecedented event, capable of drawing the attention of Italian and international planners, designers, clients to the new trends in terms of finishes for architecture. An exhibition will also be set up - New Components Code - which will collect a careful selection of the most significant products of each company participating in this project. But how did the initiative for this new event come about? space&interiors originates from the experience of MADE expo which during the Milan Design Week will present the excellence of finishes for architecture through a concept capable of ensuring the visitor a unique multisensory experience. space&interiors aims to analyze the narrative conjunction between different materials proposed by a selection of companies specialized in the production of innovative and avant-garde components: surfaces, floors, coverings, color and decoration, doors, handles, finishes, equipped walls , stairs, glass for architecture, facade cladding and cladding, windows and facades, pergolas, gazebos, curtains, architectural lighting, home automation, home automation and home entertainment.
Competition event
The space&interiors event, curated by Migliore Servetto Architects, will make it possible to discover the New map of living, an "architectural manifesto" in which materials and ideas will come together, thus giving the opportunity to read and interpret the new trends in interior architecture, as the architect Ico Migliore explains: "The system of relationships between the components of the architectural box, in addition to determining the overall quality of the project, will help to create an ideal abacus of contemporary building that visitors of space&interiors will be able to discover a preview ". Today they joined: 3A Composites, Barausse, Bauxt, Bianchi Lecco, Dierre, Effeitalia, Erco, Fantoni, Fusital, Gardesa, Garofoli, Gypsum, Italserramenti, Knauf, Legnoform, Manital , New Design Porte, Oikos Venezia, Okey, Oli, Opera 3B, Ponzio, Salice Paolo, Sciuker, Secco Sistemi, Tabu, Torterolo & Re, Valsir, Velux, Virag. The space&interiors factory competition, conceived with the collaboration of The Migliore Servetto studio is aimed at architecture and design students enrolled in Italian university courses who are between the ages of 18 and 30. Young people will be challenged to enclose their interpretation of the theme "The codes of contemporary living" in a short video and a poster, developing the relationship between finishes and the elements that define the landscape of living, among the different materials, in search of a precise identity. During space&interiors, the winner will be awarded, chosen by a quality jury, and it will be possible to see a selection of the best works.
